It would appear that to measure something is to understand it or validate its existence.
We exist, or at least markers of our existence exist in two distinct but overlapping spaces or realities, digital and non-digital. The work looks at how we straddle these two spaces simultaneously, the idea of categorisation, order and illusion.
Our data-doppelganger provides us with an uncanny reflection, frequently misrepresents us within the digital sphere and this new definition of self is increasingly being used to define us - e.g algorithmic citizenship. Participants in Grid 1:1 are confronted with the image of self within the infinite proliferation space, units within a grid.
